También en el presente curso hablaremos de las peculiaridades de la historia y exploración de un paciente psiquiátrico, así como las peculiaridades en el servicio de urgencias.

Al hablar de la historia de la psiquiatría, no podemos perder de vista otros ámbitos implicados como la biología, la filosofía, la magia, la religión, la ley, el arte y la literatura. Si bien todos estos territorios más o menos próximos entre sí nos procurarían una visión global y totalizadora, en el núcleo donde todos ellos se imbrican, y puede situarse la noción clásica de “enfermedades del alma”. Surgidas estas por analogía con las enfermedades del cuerpo, estudiadas y atendidas por la medicina, los discursos sobre tan curiosa variedad de enfermedades se asientan en gran medida en el seno de la filosofía.
